Glencore accused of discharging copper concentrate dust at Horne smelter

ROUYN-NORANDA - Glencore's Horne smelter in western Quebec is facing a charge under the province's environmental laws for allegedly releasing copper concentrate dust into the air in March 2023.

Quebec's °µÍø½ûÇø Department said in a statement on Friday the charge stems from an investigation it carried out after officials were called to the copper smelter on March 7, 2023, in Rouyn-Noranda, Que.
