DENVER (AP) — Colorado's chief deputy attorney general urged a federal judge on Tuesday to reject the Trump administration's unprecedented bid to help an imprisoned former county clerk who embraced Trump’s lies that he lost the 2020 election because of fraud.

The U.S. Justice Department in March submitted a federal court filing fight to be freed from prison while she appeals a state court conviction for allowing Trump supporters to access election equipment.
