ATLANTA (AP) — A day after Georgia Republican House Speaker Jon Burns unveiled school safety legislation, Democrats and families from Apalachee High School said they want more — namely, gun safety laws.

Both efforts to curb the gun violence come months after a at Apalachee, the school northeast of Atlanta where a 14-year-old boy stands accused of killing two teachers and two students and wounding several others last Sept. 4.
