MB CCSHEFFIELD, United Kingdom - Toronto's Roman Sadovsky finished in sixth place after struggling through Saturday's men's free skate at the MK John Wilson Trophy, a stop on the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating.
Sadovsky entered the free skate in first place after scoring 89.49 points in Friday's short program.
But the Canadian finished a disappointing eighth in the free skate, dropping him to sixth with a total of 219.35 points.
Italy's Daniel Grassl, second after the short program, topped the free skate and won the competition with 264.35 points.
Latvia's Deniss Vasiljevs (254.56) was second and Japan's Shun Sato (249.03) was third.
Toronto's Corey Circelli was 10th.
Ice dancers Marjorie Lajoie of Boucherville, Que., and Zachary Lagha of Greenfield Park, Que., were third after the rhythm dance with 81.09 points. The free dance is scheduled for Sunday.
Italy's Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri (86.30) were first after the ice dance, followed by Britain's Lilah fear and Lewis Gibson (85.37).
