VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks say they never believed they were down and out on Monday night — despite what the scoreboard said.

The visiting Montreal Canadiens (12-11-2) took a 4-0 lead midway through the opening frame, chasing Vancouver's starting goalie Spencer Martin in the process.
