Police shoot person outside RCMP detachment near Edmonton

SHERWOOD PARK - Police have shot a person in the parking lot of an RCMP detachment outside Edmonton after they were spotted with what appeared to be a firearm.

RCMP say an incident at the detachment in Sherwood Park, Alta., resulted in at least one officer firing shots.
