WINNIPEG - Manitoba New Democrats laid out more details Thursday of their campaign promises to boost spending on health care, reduce class sizes, return to a balanced budget and hold an inquiry into how the Progressive Conservative government handled the COVID-19 pandemic.

The party, which has been on the Opposition benches for the last seven years but is leading in opinion polls, released its full platform five days ahead of Tuesday's election.
