TORONTO - Toronto police say they have identified the suspect in a fatal stabbing in the city's east end who allegedly has a history of violence.Â
Police say they responded to an altercation in the Danforth Avenue and Coxwell Avenue area between two men at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.Â
They say a man with stab wounds was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Toronto police have released a photo of the 24-year-old suspect who is wanted for first-degree murder and say he is known to use public transit throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
The man is also wanted by police in Durham Region in connection with an attempted stabbing earlier this month.Â
Toronto police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
