Indigenous groups question government funding for Métis Nation of Ontario

OTTAWA - First Nations in Ontario and the Manitoba Métis Federation say nearly $1 billion in federal funding went to a group they allege is fraudulently claiming Métis identity.

The Chiefs of Ontario, which represents 133 First Nations in the province, shared with °µÍø½ûÇø data on more than 20 years worth of federal funding provided to the Métis Nation of Ontario.
